Helping to Advance Medical Care
Carolyn's career shows that there are many ways to make a difference for medical patients. Before becoming a lawyer, Carolyn was a research associate in the UCLA Nuclear Medicine Clinic, putting her bachelor's degree in microbiology and molecular genetics to use in the study of Alzheimer's disease. At Pillsbury she has continued her contributions to advances in medicine, focusing on patent work involving medical treatments and devices such as gene therapy, insulin pumps, and blood separation systems. The scientific and legal knowledge she blends keeps her very busy solving intellectual property issues for clients at the cutting-edge of medicine.
