We are seeking an IP Practice Clerk to support the IP Trademark Section in the San Francisco office. Primary responsibilities include assisting attorneys with trademark portfolio management, U.S. and foreign trademark prosecution filings, U.S. and foreign trademark oppositions, cancellations and other disputes, IP docketing, document management, preparing legal documents, preparing evidence of trademark use and brand recognition, maintaining our client-facing extranets, as well as various copyright matters. The Practice Clerk is also responsible for verifying and managing deadlines, assisting in the progression of trademark prosecution, and preparing substantive reports to the client.
Previous law firm experience is a plus. Candidate should have a BA/BS degree. The position requires excellent organization, precise attention to detail, and demonstrated success in multitasking. The ideal candidate can learn quickly and work independently and efficiently on multiple tasks of varying levels of complexity at any given time. The candidate must be highly motivated to follow through with assignments and have strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and solid computer skills.
