IP Docket Specialist (2573)
Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman’s Northern Virginia Office has an immediate opening for an entry level Docketing Specialist. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to: entering all applicable dates and deadlines into the docketing database for all correspondence received from the USPTO, TTAB, PTAB, foreign offices, and U.S. copyright office; De-docket completed items in the docketing database upon review of all mail or emails received from internal and external communication; Perform quality checks; review and process incoming mail, email, courier packages and facsimiles for the IP Section firm wide; and review and maintain daily docket, including sending daily reminders to attorneys and staff regarding upcoming deadlines, remain cognizant of all USPTO, PCT, and Foreign IP rules and practices, as well as the firm procedures and practices, and various other tasks as required.
The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and an interest in Intellectual Property. Candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet daily work requirements. Experience in a law firm setting is a plus but not required. Candidate will have a basic knowledge of the rules and regulations of the USPTO.
