Business Intelligence Manager (2593)
The Business Intelligence Manager will lead the firm’s business intelligence function, providing client, industry and competitive intelligence research and meaningful analysis for attorneys in partnership with the business development team. Working in tandem with the Research Services team and supported by a Senior Coordinator – Business Intelligence, the Business Intelligence Manager will conduct research using online and print resources on specific clients, prospects, markets, industries and competitors and other business development-related topics; develop analysis and briefing reports that synthesize the collected research data into actionable information; monitor and distribute news summaries of the firm’s key clients, competitors, industries and other selected topics; track incoming research requests; work with the business development team to demonstrate ROI on activities and assist in the evaluation and selection of business and news information resources. From time to time, the Business Intelligence Manager may work on data and financial analysis assignments, as well as discrete research projects on behalf of firm management.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Journalism, Economics or Library Science; a minimum of five years’ relevant experience, preferably in a virtual setting; and proficiency with online news, business and industry resources such as LexisNexis, Westlaw and S&P CapitalIQ. Candidate should have the ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing, be a team player with excellent customer service skills who can work independently with limited supervision, have strong organizational skills with the ability and flexibility to meet multiple and competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment, have strong attention to detail and accuracy, as well as keen problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions.
