Business Analyst (2592)

The Business Analyst works to ensure all projects they are assigned to have proper requirements, process, and data documentation to support implementation and ongoing operations.  This position coordinates IT and business departments (Finance, HR, etc.) to translate business requirements into process workflows, data mapping, and documentation needed for application support.

The analyst must have effective communication skills, package and custom developed application acumen, and the ability to analyze systems and determine both application and external business processes.  To perform duties proficiently, the analyst should have deep prior experience using tools and techniques described in Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK Guide).

Candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent.  Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of education requirements. Being certified as level 3 CBAP by International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) is major plus but not required. Having experience with a legal firm or relevant professional services firms is desired.

Successful candidate will have demonstrated ability to work as part of a multi disciplinary project team; document work maintenance in a production environment; create task lists, timelines, and deliverables; and work to meet project schedules determined by others.  Candidate must be able to follow defined business requirements and support translating them into technical requirements.  Candidate must also have the ability to define and document system requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, and interfaces with other systems; audit and report requirements using common documentation tools such as Visio, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Project. Must be effective in presenting information and respond to questions from groups of managers, business partners, and customers; read, analyze, and interpret general business documentation, professional journals, technical specifications, and project management documentation; and consistently meet routine and last-minute deadlines as required to resolve unforeseen problems.
