HR/Recruiting Coordinator (2649)
The New York office is seeking a HR/Recruiting Coordinator for the NY, Miami, PB and Middle East offices. The candidate will work closely with the Sr. HR/Recruiting Manager. Responsibilities include maintaining personnel files, coordinating benefits and wellbeing initiatives; prepare appropriate forms for new hires, background checks, conflicts checks, leaves of absence, return from leaves, title changes, comp changes and coordinate with Firmwide HR. Staff recruiting duties include working with the Sr. HR/Recruiting Manager to develop and implement recruiting strategies; assist with the preparation of job descriptions, screening resumes and applicants; coordination of scheduling interviews; handling related candidate correspondence; and applicant tracking. Attorney recruiting responsibilities include assisting and coordinating of the fall on-campus recruiting program, the summer associate program and lateral attorney recruiting. Specific responsibilities include assisting the Sr. HR/Recruiting Manager with the following tasks: recruiting budget, statistical analysis; registering for on-campus interviews; scheduling interviews; planning and attending social events; developing and maintaining contacts among professional recruiters and career services professionals; training programs and correspondence related to such activities. Additionally, this individual will also provide backup assistance with secretarial coordination and assist with other various tasks and projects as needed.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in human resources, and attorney recruiting. Knowledge of NALP recruiting practices and standards is preferred. This position requires the ability to maintain strict confidentiality of firm and personnel information; excellent organizational skills; attention to detail; ability to work on several projects concurrently and meet deadlines. Additional skills include working well independently and on a team, good judgment; the ability to consistently display a professional, polished and enthusiastic demeanor; and the ability to work with. Communicating (both verbally and in writing) effectively and tactfully with individuals at all levels are skills essential to this position. Must be proficient in the use of MS Office Suite and preferably have knowledge of Workday. Must be available to work overtime, including weekend and evening hours, during peak recruiting seasons.
