HR/Recruiting Coordinator (2608)
The Los Angeles office is seeking a Human Resources and Recruiting Coordinator to provide support to HR/Administration and the Recruiting Committee, a position that combines very important functions. Candidate will work closely with the administrator and attorney recruiting committee. General human resources responsibilities include maintaining personnel and medical files, processing timesheets, assisting with the staff review process, coordinating benefits and wellbeing initiatives; leaves of absence; coordinating with firmwide HR; and other duties associated with general human resources. Staff recruiting duties include working with the Administrator and Sr. Operations Manager to develop and implement recruiting strategies; preparing job descriptions; screening resumes and applicants; scheduling interviews; handling related candidate correspondence; and applicant tracking using and Workday. Attorney recruiting responsibilities include coordination of the fall on-campus recruiting program, the summer associate program and lateral attorney recruiting. Specific responsibilities include working with the recruiting committee to develop and implement recruiting strategies; preparing recruiting budget; statistical analysis; registering for on-campus interviews; scheduling interviews and related travel; planning and attending social events; developing and maintaining contacts among professional recruiters and career services professionals; training programs and correspondence related to such activities. Additionally, this individual will also provide backup assistance with secretarial coordination and assist with other various tasks and projects as needed.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in human resources and attorney recruiting and knowledge of NALP recruiting practices and standards. This position requires the ability to maintain strict confidentiality of firm and personnel information; excellent organizational skills; attention to detail; ability to work on several projects concurrently and meet deadlines; and work well independently and on a team. Good judgment; the ability to consistently display a professional and enthusiastic demeanor; and the ability to work with and communicate effectively and tactfully with individuals at all levels are skills essential to this position. Must be proficient in the use of MS Office Suite and preferably have knowledge of Workday. Must be available to work overtime, including weekend and evening hours, during peak recruiting seasons.
